Search Queries
A query entered in a search tool is transmitted to the outside company that operates that tool. The provider processes the terms and supplies its results. Davidson County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.

This site does not maintain, sell, or compile a database of personal criminal histories. It publishes general Davidson County instructions for records held by the sheriff, the Clerk of Superior Court, the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, and the North Carolina Sex Offender and Public Protection Registry. Visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report, and this site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

Applicable law may allow a person to request access, correction, deletion, or limits on certain processing. North Carolina Public Records Law, Chapter 132, governs records held by public agencies and does not turn this private website's visitor logs into Davidson County public records. For government criminal information, G.S. 132-1.4 limits investigative files while preserving specified public incident and arrest facts. G.S. 14-208.10 defines public adult-registry fields, and G.S. 14-208.29 restricts juvenile registry information. Subject to the law that applies, a visitor may:
